We use four pricing models, chosen to fit each phase of work. Most engagements end up hybrid — fixed-price Discovery, milestones for the build, retainer for ongoing support.
Fixed Price
Small, well-scoped projects
$10K–$50K
One-off dashboards, single-pipeline builds, or tightly-scoped audits. We include a 15–25% buffer and document scope boundaries carefully.
Milestone-Based
Mid-to-large platform builds
$50K–$500K+
Payment tied to the approval of phase deliverables. Predictable cashflow for both sides; clean exit points between phases.
Time & Materials (with NTE)
Exploratory or fluid work
$125–$400/hr
For PoCs, research, or scopes that will genuinely shift. We ship with a not-to-exceed ceiling, weekly burn reports, and alerts at 80% usage.
Retainer
Post-launch support, fractional roles
$4K–$30K+/mo
Monthly hour blocks with 25% rollover. Ideal for steady-state improvements, fractional CDO-style advising, or on-call data engineering.
